Method
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear chicken breasts for 5–6 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Whisk flour into the skillet and cook for 1 minute.
- Slowly whisk in chicken broth and simmer until slightly thickened.
- Stir in heavy cream, parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.
- Simmer gently until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
- Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top.
- Simmer 5 minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.
Notes
Freshly grated parmesan melts best and creates the smoothest sauce. Serve with pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.
