Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 2 chicken breasts boneless and skinless
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
Garlic Parmesan Sauce
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 0.75 cup parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper to taste
Cheesy Twisted Pasta
  • 10 oz twisted pasta rotini or fusilli
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 0.25 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp parsley chopped for garnish

  • Large skillet
  • Mixing bowl
  • Wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and toss with butter.
  2. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Sear chicken in olive oil and butter until golden brown. Set aside.
  4. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
  5. Add broth and cream, then stir in parmesan, garlic powder, and paprika. Simmer until thickened.
  6. Return chicken to the sauce and simmer 5 minutes.
  7. Mix cooked pasta with mozzarella, parmesan, and butter.
  8. Serve chicken over cheesy pasta, garnish with parsley.

Notes

For extra depth, add sun-dried tomatoes or spinach to the sauce.
