Ingredients
  

Rice Base
  • 1 cup short-grain white rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 0.5 cup raisins optional

Method
 

  1. Rinse rice until water runs clear.
  2. Cook rice with water until absorbed.
  3. Add milk, sugar, and salt and cook until thickened.
  4. Stir in butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and raisins.
  5. Cook until creamy and desired consistency is reached.
  6. Serve warm or chilled with garnish.

Notes

Stir frequently to prevent sticking and adjust sweetness to taste.
