  • 1 lb potato gnocchi
  • 1 lb Italian sausage casings removed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1.25 cups heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 0.5 cup parmesan cheese grated

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Baking dish
  • Wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Brown sausage in olive oil until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté onion in butter until soft, then add garlic.
  4. Add broth and cream, simmer briefly, then stir in spinach.
  5. Add gnocchi and sausage, mix well.
  6. Transfer to baking dish, top with cheese, and bake 25–30 minutes.
