Ingredients
  

Corn Dogs
  • 8 hot dogs
  • 8 slices cheddar cheese or mozzarella sticks
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 8 wooden skewers

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F and line baking sheet with parchment paper. Skewer hot dogs and wrap each with cheese.
  2. Mix cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk in milk and eggs until smooth.
  3. Dip each cheese-stuffed hot dog into batter to coat fully.
  4. Place on baking sheet and bake 18–22 minutes until golden and crispy.
  5. Cool slightly and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
