Ingredients
  

Apple Fritters
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups diced apples Granny Smith or Honeycrisp
  • oil for frying vegetable or canola
Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Whisk milk, eggs, and vanilla in another bowl. Combine with dry ingredients and fold in apples.
  3. Heat oil to 350°F. Drop 1/4 cup batter into oil, flatten slightly, and fry 2–3 minutes per side until golden.
  4. Drain on paper towel-lined rack.
  5. Mix glaze ingredients until smooth. Drizzle or dip warm fritters in glaze.
