Ingredients
  

Corn Dogs
  • 4 hot dogs
  • 4 mozzarella cheese sticks
  • 8 wooden skewers
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 0.75 cup warm milk
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 packs instant ramen noodles crushed
  • 4 cups vegetable oil for frying

Method
 

  1. Insert skewers into hot dogs and mozzarella sticks. Freeze for 20 minutes.
  2. Mix flour, cornstarch, sugar, yeast, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Add egg and warm milk. Stir until thick batter forms. Let rest 30-45 minutes.
  4. Place panko breadcrumbs and crushed ramen noodles into shallow bowls.
  5. Dip skewers into batter and coat evenly.
  6. Roll coated skewers in ramen noodles and breadcrumbs.
  7. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry corn dogs until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Drain on wire rack and drizzle with desired sauces before serving.

Notes

Freeze cheese beforehand to prevent leaking during frying. Best served hot and fresh.
