Ingredients
  

Chicken Wings
  • 2 lbs chicken wings split
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
BBQ Sauce
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic minced

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with foil. Place a wire rack on top.
  2. Pat chicken wings dry thoroughly with paper towels.
  3. Mix baking powder, salt, pepper, and spices in a bowl.
  4. Toss wings with olive oil and seasoning mixture until evenly coated.
  5. Arrange wings on rack in a single layer.
  6. Bake 20 minutes, flip, then bake another 20–25 minutes until crispy.
  7. Simmer BBQ sauce ingredients in a saucepan for 5–7 minutes.
  8. Toss baked wings with sauce and return to oven for 5–8 minutes to caramelize.
  9. Serve hot with dips if desired.

Notes

For extra crispiness, refrigerate seasoned wings uncovered for 1 hour before baking.
