Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheet with parchment or grease air fryer basket.
- Slice onions into thin rings and separate layers.
- Set up three bowls: flour, beaten eggs, and Parmesan-breadcrumb mixture with seasonings.
- Coat onions in flour, egg, then Parmesan-breadcrumb mixture.
- Place onion rings on baking sheet/air fryer basket, spray lightly with cooking spray or drizzle oil.
- Bake 18–20 minutes or air fry 12–14 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve immediately with ranch, marinara, or aioli for dipping.
Notes
Best enjoyed fresh; store leftovers in airtight container for 1–2 days. Reheat in oven for crispiness.
