Ingredients
  

Crispy Tofu
  • 14 oz extra-firm tofu pressed and cubed
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
Teriyaki Sauce
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger grated

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking sheet
  • Saucepan

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Toss tofu with soy sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch.
  3. Bake tofu 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway, until crisp.
  4. Simmer all teriyaki sauce ingredients until thickened.
  5. Toss baked tofu in warm sauce and serve in bowls.

Notes

For best texture, sauce tofu just before serving.
