Method
- Grease the slow cooker lightly with butter or non-stick spray.
- Place chicken breasts evenly in the bottom of the crock pot.
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic over the chicken.
- Sprinkle uncooked rice evenly over the chicken mixture.
- Whisk chicken broth and cream of chicken soup until smooth, then pour into slow cooker.
- Add butter pieces on top, cover, and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2½–3 hours.
- Stir gently, shred chicken if desired, rest for 10 minutes, then serve.
