Method
- Pat chicken dry and rub with olive oil, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Place chicken in crockpot. Pour marinara sauce over chicken. Sprinkle 1/4 cup parmesan on top.
- Cover and cook on low 4–5 hours or high 2–3 hours until chicken reaches 165°F internally.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and remaining parmesan on chicken during last 10–15 minutes. Cover to melt cheese.
- Garnish with fresh basil and serve warm with pasta or veggies.
Notes
Store leftovers in fridge up to 3 days. Reheat in oven at 350°F for 10–15 minutes to keep chicken moist.
