Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare cake pan.
- Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
- Cream butter and sugar, then add eggs and vanilla.
- Alternate adding dry ingredients and buttermilk.
- Stir in coffee and fold in cherries.
- Bake 40–45 minutes until done.
- Cool completely on rack.
- Prepare glaze and pour over cake.
Notes
Use fresh or frozen cherries; thaw and drain if frozen.
