Ingredients
  

Cake Batter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder
  • 1.5 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup hot coffee
Ganache
  • 1.5 cups heavy cream
  • 12 oz dark chocolate chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line cake pans.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Add wet ingredients and mix until smooth.
  4. Stir in hot coffee slowly.
  5. Bake for 30–35 minutes.
  6. Cool completely.
  7. Prepare ganache by combining hot cream and chocolate.
  8. Assemble cake with ganache layers and topping.

Notes

Use high-quality dark chocolate for best flavor. Let ganache cool slightly before pouring.
