- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Melt butter in a skillet and sauté onion and carrots until softened.
- Stir in flour and cook briefly, then gradually add broth and milk to form a sauce.
- Add ham, peas, thyme, and pepper. Simmer briefly.
- Transfer filling to a pie dish and top with crust.
- Bake 30–35 minutes until golden and bubbly.
