Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 4 potatoes peeled and cubed
  • 3 onions sliced
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup water

Equipment

  • Large pan
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Heat oil and sauté half the onions until golden.
  2. Add garlic and spices, cook briefly.
  3. Add potatoes and stir well.
  4. Add water, cover, and cook until potatoes are tender.
  5. Add remaining onions and cook uncovered.
  6. Adjust seasoning and garnish before serving.

Notes

Adjust spice levels to taste and serve with bread or rice.
