Ingredients
  

Lemonade Base
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 0.75-1 cup granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup ice cubes optional
  • 1 lemon slices for garnish
  • 1 sprig mint leaves optional garnish

Method
 

  1. Juice fresh lemons to yield 1 cup of lemon juice and strain seeds.
  2. Heat 1 cup water with sugar until dissolved to create simple syrup.
  3. Let syrup cool completely.
  4. In a pitcher, combine lemon juice, syrup, and remaining water.
  5. Stir well and adjust sweetness if needed.
  6. Chill in refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  7. Serve over ice with lemon slices and mint garnish.

Notes

Adjust sugar and water to taste. Use fresh lemons for best flavor.
