Ingredients
  

Cookie Batter
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cotton candy flavoring
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar for rolling

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla, and cotton candy flavoring.
  4. Gradually mix in dry ingredients until dough forms.
  5. Divide dough, color pink and blue, and chill for 1 hour.
  6. Swirl colored dough portions together and roll in powdered sugar.
  7. Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are set.
  8. Cool on rack before serving.

Notes

Chill dough thoroughly and double roll in powdered sugar for best crackle effect.
