Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2.25 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup milk warm
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp salt
Filling
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
Glaze
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1.5 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp milk as needed

Method
 

  1. Activate yeast in warm milk and sugar for 5–10 minutes.
  2. Mix in butter, eggs, salt, and gradually add flour to form dough.
  3. Knead until smooth and elastic.
  4. Let dough rise until doubled in size.
  5. Roll dough into rectangle and spread with butter.
  6. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture evenly.
  7. Roll both long sides inward, slice, and pinch to form hearts.
  8. Let rise again for 30–45 minutes.
  9. Bake at 350°F for 18–22 minutes.
  10. Prepare glaze and spread over warm rolls before serving.

Notes

Ensure yeast is active and avoid overheating milk for best rise.
