Ingredients
  

Chocolate Filling
  • 1.5 cups crushed wafer cookies
  • 0.75 cup chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 0.5 cup roasted hazelnuts finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 12 whole roasted hazelnuts
Chocolate Coating
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 cup roasted hazelnuts finely chopped

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking tray
  • Parchment paper
  • Microwave-safe bowl

Method
 

  1. Line a tray or plate with parchment paper.
  2. Combine crushed wafer cookies, chocolate hazelnut spread, chopped hazelnuts, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract in a bowl.
  3. Mix until a thick dough-like consistency forms.
  4. Flatten a tablespoon of mixture in your hand and place a whole hazelnut in the center.
  5. Wrap the mixture around the hazelnut and roll into a ball.
  6. Freeze the chocolate balls for 20 to 30 minutes until firm.
  7. Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil until smooth.
  8. Dip each chilled ball into melted chocolate and coat with chopped hazelnuts.
  9. Allow chocolates to set completely before serving.

Notes

Store refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 1 week. Freeze for longer storage.
