Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken cut into bite-size pieces
  • 0.5 cup cornstarch
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • salt and pepper to taste
Orange Sauce
  • 0.75 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 0.33 cup sugar
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger grated
  • 1.5 tbsp cornstarch mixed with water

Method
 

  1. Season chicken with salt and pepper.
  2. Dip chicken into eggs, then coat with cornstarch and flour mixture.
  3. Pan-fry chicken in hot oil until golden and crispy. Set aside.
  4. Whisk all orange sauce ingredients in a saucepan and simmer.
  5. Add cornstarch slurry and cook until thickened.
  6. Toss crispy chicken in sauce until evenly coated.

Notes

Serve immediately for best texture. Adjust sweetness to taste.
