- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish.
- In a skillet, cook sliced sausage and onions in butter until browned and caramelized, about 8 minutes.
- In a bowl, whisk cream cheese, sour cream, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Layer frozen pierogies in the dish, top with sausage mixture, then pour sauce over evenly.
- Sprinkle with shredded cheese. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then uncover and bake 10 more minutes.
- Garnish with green onions or parsley and serve hot.
Notes
You can add extra veggies like mushrooms or spinach for variety.
