Ingredients
  

Cake Base
  • 1 box strawberry cake mix plus box ingredients
Filling
  • 0.5 cup cream cheese softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Coating
  • 12 oz white chocolate or candy melts
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil optional
  • 2 tbsp freeze-dried strawberries crushed

Method
 

  1. Bake strawberry cake according to package directions and cool completely.
  2. Crumble cake into fine crumbs in a large bowl.
  3. Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Mix frosting into cake crumbs until a dough forms.
  5. Roll mixture into 1-inch balls and place on lined baking sheet.
  6. Chill for 30 minutes.
  7. Melt chocolate, dip cake balls, and coat evenly.
  8. Decorate and allow coating to set before serving.

Notes

Keep chilled before dipping for best results. Can be frozen for up to 2 months.
