- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
- Boil sweet potatoes until fork-tender, then drain and mash until smooth.
- Mix mashed sweet potatoes with butter, sugar, eggs, milk, vanilla, spices, and salt.
- Spread mixture evenly into prepared baking dish.
- Combine pecans, flour, brown sugar, and butter until crumbly.
- Sprinkle topping evenly over sweet potatoes.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and heated through.
Notes
Marshmallows may be added during the last 5–7 minutes of baking if desired.
