Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.66 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Filling
  • 0.5 cup fruit jam strawberry or raspberry

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla.
  4. Mix in dry ingredients until a soft dough forms.
  5. Roll dough into balls, shape into hearts, and press thumbprint centers.
  6. Fill centers with jam and bake 12–14 minutes until lightly golden.
  7. Cool completely on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

Use thick jam for best results and avoid overfilling.
