- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla and red food coloring.
- Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk, mixing gently.
- Stir in hot coffee until batter is smooth.
- Fill cupcake liners two-thirds full and bake 18–20 minutes.
- Beat butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, rose water, and cream until fluffy.
- Pipe rose swirls onto cooled cupcakes and garnish as desired.
Notes
Use gel food coloring for a deeper red shade and pipe frosting with a star tip for a rose effect.
