Ingredients
  

Chicken Filling
  • 4 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 cup green onions sliced
Cracker Topping
  • 1 sleeve buttery crackers crushed
  • 4 tbsp butter melted
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, and cream of chicken soup until smooth.
  3. Mix in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and sliced green onions.
  4. Fold in shredded chicken and 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle remaining cheddar cheese over the top.
  7. Combine crushed crackers with melted butter in a small bowl.
  8. Sprinkle cracker mixture evenly over the casserole.
  9. Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  10. Rest for 5 minutes before garnishing with parsley and serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add cooked bacon or steamed broccoli to the filling before baking.
