Ingredients
  

Chocolate Base
  • 8 oz dark chocolate 60–70% cocoa, chopped
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 4 eggs large, room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.25 tsp salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8-inch springform pan.
  2. Melt chocolate and butter together until smooth.
  3. Whisk in sugar and cocoa powder until fully combined.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract and salt.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes until edges are set and center is slightly soft.
  8. Cool completely before removing from pan and serving.

Notes

For best texture, do not overbake. Serve at room temperature.
