Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2.25 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 0.33 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.33 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp salt
Cinnamon Filling
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.33 cup unsalted butter softened
Creamy Glaze
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp cream cheese softened
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2-4 tbsp milk adjust for consistency

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let stand until foamy.
  2. Add melted butter, eggs, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Gradually stir in flour until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead dough until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place dough in greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled.
  6. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon for filling.
  7. Roll dough into rectangle and spread with softened butter.
  8. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar evenly over dough.
  9. Roll tightly into a log and slice into 12 rolls.
  10. Place rolls in greased baking dish and let rise again.
  11. Bake at 350°F until golden brown and cooked through.
  12. Beat glaze ingredients until smooth and creamy.
  13. Spread glaze over warm cinnamon rolls before serving.

Notes

For extra soft cinnamon rolls, avoid adding too much flour and allow the dough enough time to rise fully.
