Ingredients
  

Biscuit Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.5 cup butter cold
  • 0.75 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Coating
  • 1 egg
  • 0.25 cup milk
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp sugar
Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking sheet
  • Wire rack
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line baking sheet.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Cut in butter until crumbly.
  4. Add wet ingredients and form dough.
  5. Shape and cut biscuits.
  6. Bake until golden, about 12–15 minutes.
  7. Dip lightly in coating mixture.
  8. Pan-fry briefly and drizzle with glaze.

Notes

Serve warm for best texture and flavor. Do not over-soak biscuits in coating.
