- Whisk eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt in a medium bowl until smooth.
- Dip bread slices into mixture, coating both sides.
- Cook each slice in a buttered skillet over medium heat until golden brown, 2–3 minutes per side.
- Keep finished toast warm in a 200°F oven while cooking remaining slices.
- Arrange French toast on a serving board with toppings and sides.
- Dust with powdered sugar, drizzle syrup, and serve immediately.
