Ingredients
  

Blondie Batter
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 egg large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries diced
  • 1 tbsp flour for coating strawberries
Strawberry Glaze
  • 0.75 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tbsp mashed strawberries
  • 0.5 tsp lemon juice optional

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together.
  3. Mix melted butter and sugars until smooth. Add egg and vanilla.
  4. Coat strawberries lightly with flour.
  5. Combine dry ingredients with wet mixture and fold in strawberries.
  6. Spread batter into pan and bake 28–32 minutes.
  7. Cool completely before glazing.
  8. Mix glaze ingredients, drizzle over bars, slice, and serve.

Notes

For best texture, avoid overbaking and allow bars to cool fully before slicing.
