Ingredients
  

Strawberry Filling
  • 5 cups fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice fresh
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
Cobbler Topping
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter cold and cubed
  • 0.75 cup milk

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and butter a baking dish.
  2. Combine strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Spread evenly in dish.
  3. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  4. Cut butter into dry ingredients until crumbly.
  5. Stir in milk just until combined.
  6. Drop topping over strawberries.
  7. Bake 40–45 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  8. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for best results.
