Ingredients
  

Brownie Batter
  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate chopped
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 3 eggs large
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cup cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter and chopped chocolate until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  3. Whisk in granulated and brown sugar until glossy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  5. Fold in cocoa powder, flour, and salt until just combined.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips if using.
  7. Spread batter evenly in pan and bake 28–32 minutes.
  8. Cool completely before slicing into squares.

Notes

Do not overbake for maximum fudginess.
