Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl and let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add olive oil, salt, and flour gradually to form a soft dough.
- Knead dough on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth.
- Allow dough to rise in a covered bowl for 45–60 minutes until doubled.
- Divide dough into portions and shape each into carrot-like breadsticks.
- Brush with garlic butter and bake for 15–18 minutes until golden.
- Brush with additional garlic butter, sprinkle parmesan and parsley, then serve warm.
Notes
Use parsley stems or chives inserted into the bread to resemble carrot tops for a fun presentation.
