Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp instant yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
Garlic Butter
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl and let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  3. Add olive oil, salt, and flour gradually to form a soft dough.
  4. Knead dough on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth.
  5. Allow dough to rise in a covered bowl for 45–60 minutes until doubled.
  6. Divide dough into portions and shape each into carrot-like breadsticks.
  7. Brush with garlic butter and bake for 15–18 minutes until golden.
  8. Brush with additional garlic butter, sprinkle parmesan and parsley, then serve warm.

Notes

Use parsley stems or chives inserted into the bread to resemble carrot tops for a fun presentation.
