Ingredients
  

Burgers
  • 1.5 lb ground beef 80/20 preferred
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese
Garlic Butter Croissants
  • 6 large butter croissants sliced in half
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

Equipment

  • Cast iron skillet
  • Spatula
  • Mixing bowl
  • Pastry brush

Method
 

  1. Mix melted butter, garlic, parsley, and salt to make garlic butter.
  2. Heat cast iron skillet over high heat.
  3. Divide beef into 6 balls and season lightly.
  4. Place beef ball on skillet and smash thin. Cook 2–3 minutes until crispy.
  5. Flip, add cheese, cook 1–2 minutes more.
  6. Brush croissants with garlic butter and toast until golden.
  7. Assemble burgers with toppings and serve immediately.

Notes

Cook burgers on high heat for best crust. Toast croissants lightly to avoid breakage.
