- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9-inch pan with parchment paper.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
- Mix in dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Spread dough evenly in the pan and bake 22–28 minutes until golden.
- Cool, decorate with frosting if desired, slice, and serve.
Notes
For a bakery-style look, press a few extra chocolate chips on top before baking.
