Ingredients
  

Salmon Marinade
  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice fresh
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.25 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds for garnish
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 1 lemon cut into wedges for serving

Method
 

  1. Pat salmon fillets dry and place them into a shallow dish or zip-top bag.
  2. Whisk together garlic, ginger, soy sauce, honey, olive oil, sesame oil, lemon juice, rice vinegar, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Pour marinade over salmon and coat evenly on all sides.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 2 hours.
  5. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Arrange salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and spoon extra marinade over the top.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes until salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  8. Broil for 1–2 minutes for extra caramelization if desired.
  9. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

Notes

Do not marinate salmon longer than 2 hours to preserve the best texture. Delicious served with rice or roasted vegetables.
