Ingredients
  

Cookie Batter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg large
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 0.75 cup pecans chopped
Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Add egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  5. Combine dry and wet ingredients.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips and pecans.
  7. Scoop dough and place on baking sheet.
  8. Bake 10–12 minutes until golden.
  9. Cool completely on wire rack.
  10. Mix glaze ingredients and drizzle over cookies.

Notes

Toast pecans for deeper flavor and chill dough for thicker cookies.
