Appetizer Base
  • 10 oz soft goat cheese room temperature
  • 0.5 cup fig jam
  • 0.5 cup pecans toasted and chopped
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 0.25 tsp flaky sea salt
  • 0.125 tsp black pepper freshly cracked
  • 1 box crackers or crostini for serving

Method
 

  1. Place softened goat cheese onto a serving platter or appetizer board.
  2. Toast pecans in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3–5 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Spread fig jam evenly over the goat cheese.
  4. Sprinkle toasted pecans over the top.
  5. Drizzle honey and olive oil lightly over the appetizer.
  6. Finish with fresh thyme, sea salt, and black pepper.
  7. Serve immediately with crackers, crostini, or sliced baguette.

Notes

For extra flavor, warm the appetizer in the oven at 375°F for 8–10 minutes before serving.
