Method
- Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Butter one side of each bread slice evenly.
- Spread basil pesto on the unbuttered side of half the bread slices.
- Layer provolone, mozzarella, parmesan, and garlic powder over pesto.
- Top with remaining bread slices, buttered side facing out.
- Cook sandwiches for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Slice and garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
Use fresh pesto and quality artisan bread for the best flavor. Pair with tomato soup or salad for a complete meal.
