Ingredients
  

Scone Dough
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter cold, cubed
  • 0.75 cup heavy cream
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries chopped
  • 0.75 cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies
Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp milk or cream
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet.
  2. Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in cold butter until crumbly.
  4. Mix cream, egg, and vanilla, then combine with dry ingredients.
  5. Fold in strawberries and crushed cookies.
  6. Shape dough and cut into wedges.
  7. Bake 18–22 minutes until golden.
  8. Cool and drizzle with glaze before serving.

Notes

Keep butter cold and avoid overmixing for best texture.
