Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 cups dry pasta rotini or penne
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 14.5 oz diced tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • fresh basil for garnish

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet and sauté diced onion until translucent.
  2. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
  3. Stir in ground turkey and cook until browned, seasoning with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Add tomato paste and diced tomatoes, stirring to combine.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and add dry pasta, ensuring pasta is mostly submerged.
  6. Cover and simmer 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
  7. Stir in Parmesan cheese and adjust seasoning as desired.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil and serve warm.

Notes

Add spinach during the last 2 minutes of cooking for extra veggies.
