Ingredients
  

Brownie Batter
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.25 tsp baking powder
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Cheesecake Layer
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg large
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • orange gel food coloring few drops
Toppings
  • Halloween sprinkles, candy eyes, crushed Oreos optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk melted butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla until smooth and glossy.
  3. Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  4. Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
  5. Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, vanilla, and orange coloring until smooth.
  6. Spread ¾ of brownie batter in pan, top with cheesecake mixture, and swirl remaining brownie batter on top.
  7. Bake 30–35 minutes until edges are set and center is slightly jiggly.
  8. Cool completely, refrigerate 2 hours, then slice and decorate with candies or sprinkles.

Notes

Use gel coloring for bright orange swirls without thinning the cheesecake layer.
