Ingredients
  

Cake Batter
  • 3 cups cake flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 eggs large
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.75 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup guava nectar
  • 0.5 cup whole milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
Guava Soak
  • 1 cup guava nectar
  • 0.5 cup guava puree
Frosting
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup guava puree
  • 1 package instant vanilla pudding mix

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  2. Whisk together cake flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Beat eggs and sugar until fluffy. Add oil, guava nectar, milk, and vanilla.
  4. Fold in dry ingredients until combined.
  5. Bake for 28–32 minutes until done.
  6. Poke holes in cake and pour guava soak over top.
  7. Prepare frosting and spread over cooled cake.
  8. Chill before serving.

Notes

For best flavor, refrigerate overnight before serving. Garnish with coconut or fresh fruit for added tropical appeal.
