Ingredients
  

Jam Ingredients
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 2 cups strawberries fresh or frozen
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup orange juice
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of nutmeg optional
  • 0.5 cup water

  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Rinse and prepare cranberries and strawberries.
  2. Combine fruit, sugar, orange juice, water, lemon juice, and spices in a pot.
  3. Heat until cranberries burst and strawberries soften.
  4. Mash fruit to desired consistency.
  5. Simmer 15–25 minutes until thickened.
  6. Stir in orange zest and remove from heat.
  7. Cool 10 minutes and transfer to jars.
  8. Refrigerate, freeze, or process jars for canning.

Notes

Jam thickens more as it cools. Adjust sugar to taste for sweeter or more tart jam.
