Homemade Vanilla Cinnamon Milk Tea

Ingredients
  

Tea Base
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tsp black tea leaves or tea bags
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 1 cup milk any variety
  • 2 tbsp sugar or sweetener to taste
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Equipment

  • Small saucepan
  • Fine mesh strainer
  • Measuring cups
  • Wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Bring water to a gentle simmer in a small saucepan.
  2. Add cinnamon stick and simmer for 3–4 minutes.
  3. Add tea leaves or tea bags and steep for 3–5 minutes.
  4. Strain out tea leaves and cinnamon.
  5. Stir in milk and heat gently without boiling.
  6. Add sweetener and vanilla extract, stirring well.
  7. Pour into cups and serve warm.

Notes

Adjust sweetness and milk ratio to taste. Can be served iced.
