Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
- Pat salmon fillets dry and season with salt and black pepper.
- Whisk together honey, garlic, soy sauce, and lemon juice in a bowl.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear salmon for 2 minutes skin-side down.
- Pour the honey garlic mixture around the salmon and add butter.
- Transfer skillet to oven or move salmon to baking dish and bake for 8–12 minutes.
- Mix cornstarch and water together to create a slurry.
- Remove salmon temporarily and simmer sauce with slurry until thickened.
- Spoon thickened glaze over salmon and garnish before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add fresh ginger or a pinch of red pepper flakes to the glaze.
