Ingredients
  

Salmon
  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt or to taste
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
Honey Garlic Glaze
  • 0.33 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds for garnish
  • 2 tbsp parsley or green onions chopped

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Pat salmon fillets dry and season with salt and black pepper.
  3. Whisk together honey, garlic, soy sauce, and lemon juice in a bowl.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear salmon for 2 minutes skin-side down.
  5. Pour the honey garlic mixture around the salmon and add butter.
  6. Transfer skillet to oven or move salmon to baking dish and bake for 8–12 minutes.
  7. Mix cornstarch and water together to create a slurry.
  8. Remove salmon temporarily and simmer sauce with slurry until thickened.
  9. Spoon thickened glaze over salmon and garnish before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add fresh ginger or a pinch of red pepper flakes to the glaze.
