Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
Honey Pepper Glaze
  • 0.5 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp cracked black pepper
Mac and Cheese
  • 16 oz elbow macaroni
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese shredded

Method
 

  1. Cook macaroni until al dente and set aside.
  2. Marinate chicken in buttermilk for 30 minutes.
  3. Dredge chicken in seasoned flour mixture.
  4. Fry chicken until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Prepare honey pepper glaze and coat chicken.
  6. Make cheese sauce by preparing roux, adding milk, cream, and cheeses.
  7. Combine macaroni with cheese sauce.
  8. Top mac and cheese with sliced honey pepper chicken.

Notes

For extra richness, bake with breadcrumb topping before serving.
