Ingredients
  

  • 3 lbs chicken drumsticks skin-on for best flavor
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup ketchup adds tang and richness
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • sesame seeds for garnish
  • green onions sliced, for garnish

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, ketchup, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and sesame oil until well combined.
  2. Place chicken drumsticks in the slow cooker and pour sauce mixture over them. Toss to coat evenly.
  3. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours until chicken is tender and cooked through.
  4. Optional: For a stickier glaze, transfer cooked drumsticks to a baking sheet and broil for 3–5 minutes, basting with extra sauce.
  5. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

These drumsticks pair perfectly with steamed rice, stir-fried veggies, or as a game-day finger food. For extra spice, add sriracha or red pepper flakes to the sauce.
